At Sparks Music Academy, the vocal groups cater to different age groups and skill levels, providing opportunities for singers of all ages to participate in group singing activities, develop their vocal abilities, and enjoy the camaraderie of making music together.
Groups are on Sundays:
LITTLE SPARKS (4-5 y.o.) - 4pm-4.30pm (30 minutes);
SHINING SPARKS (6-11 y.o.) - 4.45pm-5.15pm (30 minutes);
GLOWING SPARKS (12-15 y.o.) - 5.30pm-6.15pm (45 minutes);
RADIANT SPARKS (16-17 y.o.) - 6.30pm-7.30pm (1 hour);
BRILLIANT SPARKS (18+) - 7.30pm-8.30pm (1 hour).

Lyn Elbancol is the first friendly voice and welcoming face of Sparks Music Academy. She answers inquiries, arranges assessments, manages scheduling, and represents Sparks with care, clarity, and professionalism from the very first contact.

Demian Bolanos-Cobena is classical/electric guitarist based in Toronto, Ontario,
specializes in a variety of rhythms and genres. Originally from Guayaquil,
Ecuador. He began learning to play the guitar at the age of thirteen, with his
main inspiration being South American and Spanish folk styles; Demian began
performing shortly after, with his first on-stage experience within the EDM Band
Ensemble between 2017-2019, first as a support guitarist and later as the main
solo guitar. During this period, he studied blues guitar with Cesar Galarza,
covering material studied by the Berklee College of Music. Upon moving to
Winnipeg, Manitoba during 2019, he began exploring diverse musical styles, including genres such as: South American/Spanish Folk, Bossa Nova, Rock/Blues
and Classical. During his time in Winnipeg his studies focused on the latter two.
Demian studied classical guitar and piano at the Manitoba Conservatory of
Music and Arts (MCMA) where he won the Advance Guitar Scholarship
Competition. Simultaneously, he took lessons under the tutelage of Marco Castillo and performed in venues such as the Nashville’s Fund Collection Stage. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music Performance at the University of Toronto (UofT); studying classical guitar under Jeffrey McFadden. Demian is a current member of UofT’s Guitar Ensemble. Fluent in English and Spanish and with broad experience in global music.

Lilian is the Registered RCM Piano and Theory Instructor with more than 40 years experience in instructing Piano. She's also actively involved in instructing seniors at community centres.
